Calculation Tools

This category consists of three tools which allow more convenient and efficient work with workbooks, including spreadsheets with heavy calculations. The first two tools do not exist in Excel. The third does exist, but is more convenient to use in GIAnalyzer.

Calculate Selection

“Calculate Sheet” (shift+F9) is a powerful tool used in manual calculation mode in Excel, to prevent the computer from getting stuck when spreadsheets include time-consuming calculations. We can save substantial calculation time in the case of heavy active spreadsheets by updating only the formulas in specific cells rather than the entire spreadsheet. This is done by selecting cells which we would like to perform calculations and clicking on the “Calculate Selection” button.
